He walks Rue Thouin in the early morning. He goes to the left at Bar Descartes. He is going to Metro Cardinal Lemoine. It is not far – ten minutes walk. He did not eat breakfast and he is hungry. At the bakery he buys an almond croissant and a coffee with milk. |

The backlighting is wonderful, well done. Shame about the white blur on the right. I really like this one.
I think the white blur is a motor scooter at F4.0
Oh I gasped as I thought it was Arbaleté ( sp might not be correct). Nevertheless I love it. The rim light on her hair is parfait. AND I can read your text without much help. I'm making progress I think.
Your photos of Paris are making me want to fold up my tent and go home. But I won't because I love it too much to stop.

J,
Tomorrow a little intro on my blog so that my readers can all enjoy this wonderful site as much as I do.

That is appreciated, Virginia.
Yesterday, my daughter gave me a critique and some words of wisdom about writing/thinking in French. I am trying to simplify what I say to follow her instructions. She is already reading French picture books to her own daughter!
And another thing, V. You KNEW that our take on this fabulous city would be totally different. I appreciate your slant, and yet knew that it was beyond me to duplicate it. And I would not want to.
Thanks to Virginia, I am discovering your blog and I am really impressed by this splendid picture. Bravo !
I do like your eye and your words on Paris! Encore, encore et merci Viginia for this link!
Bonjour! Votre blog est vraiment belle. Je suis heureuse que j'ai le trouvé!
Bien fait, Julie.
[Je dis doucement parce que je n'suis pas francophone moi-même: je crois que l'expression correcte est "...tôt le matin."]
What fabulous light! You could probably make up any number of little "stories" to go with this shot—and I love yours.
Hello I just found my way from Virginia's blog...I love your story and the image is lovely. She seem's almost magically illuminated by the light!

Merci, Francisca. Merci ...
je crois ... croître = to grow
Je suis réparé.
I'm surprised how much of the written word I can understand. A combination of high school French, studying Italian and Spanish and travel. Unfortunately I can't speak it, except for a few simple phrases.
C'est magnifique, Julie! The backlighting is striking and you have set quite a mood here. Congratulations on your new blog and as always, your excellent photography!
